How long does it take to install my capage (covering visible ducts on the outside of the home)?
When installing your heat pump or air conditioner, you need to take the installation lead time into account. After each installation, a request is sent directly to the supplier.
Installation lead times can vary from 2 to 5 months.
During busy periods (March to September), lead times can be quite long for colored capages.
While white capages can be installed within 1 month…
Don’t worry, the capping is only cosmetic. The delay will not result in any loss of performance or premature degradation of your new system.
When should I consider replacing my current heat pump or air conditioner?
You should have your current system replaced if :
- Your heating or air-conditioning system is more than ten years old, and your furnace or boiler is more than 15 years old.
- There are humidity problems, or the house is too dusty.
- Your heating or air-conditioning system is making too much noise.
- You want healthier, dust-free, allergen-free air in your home.
- Your system requires frequent and costly repairs.
- Your energy bills are rising. Over time, the money a new energy-efficient system can save each month should offset the cost of the system.
How much does a new system cost?
The amount spent on a new system depends on the size of the house, the type and condition of the existing ductwork, and whether or not other products such as thermostats or air filters are added.

Will Enviro Confort also install my system?
Yes, our installations are carried out by highly qualified, certified and accredited refrigeration technicians.
They’ll assess the home’s configuration, make sure the ducts are the right size and location, and install the new system. You’ll have nothing to worry about.
Electrical connections are made by our electricians.
What is the expected lifespan of my device?
The average air conditioner lasts 12 to 15 years, while a gas furnace lasts 20 to 25 years. There are many variables that affect how long your particular piece of equipment will last, including the frequency
of routine maintenance.
How can I extend the life of my system?
Regular preventive maintenance and cleaning are the best ways to keep your heating or air-conditioning system running at peak performance.
During the winter, ice may have caused pipes to move, resulting in refrigerant leaks. Ice buildup may also have broken parts or allowed water infiltration. We offer a Customer Privilege Program to maintain and clean your system for peace of mind, comfort and performance.

When should I start cleaning the filters on my wall unit?
We strongly recommend cleaning your heat pump or wall-mounted air conditioner filters once a month.
Constant filter cleaning ensures that your equipment runs smoothly, so you don’t have to worry about a thing.
Where can I find the operating instructions for my system?

Can anyone install a ductless wall unit, and how long does it take?
Only certified contractors are authorized to install ductless bi-block wall units.
Installation can take from a few hours to a full day, depending on the size of the unit and the complexity of the installation.
Can I paint my wall unit?
No. Painting the wall unit will void the warranty in the event of problems.
What is an air exchanger?
An air exchanger reduces excessive humidity in winter. It can’t produce humidity; if there’s a lack of humidity in the house, you may need a humidifier.
What is the Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER)?
The Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) is a measure of the cooling efficiency of your air conditioner or heat pump. The higher the SEER rating, the more efficiently the system converts electricity into cooling power.
What is a BTU (British Thermal Unit)?
BTU is an Anglo-Saxon unit of power defined as the power of a system delivering or consuming one BTU in one hour.
